early this morning, while watering my vegetable [balcony] garden, i was greeted by a most electrifying heavenly blue Ipomoea violacea, commonly known as morning glory. what more does one need but nature’s glory as inspiration ? this blue seems otherworldly or of a spiritual nature, it makes me calm and introspective, it seems complete and this makes me content. wishing you an inspirational week! xx s

WORK IN PRGRESS...

summer is now in full swing and a fan is merrily humming in the background. at times, when the heat gets too overbearing, i stick my feet in a bucket of cold water. it keeps me focused on the project and from melting into the desk... that and a good upbeat tune and here a revisit to camilla engman's adorable dog, morran... to a creative and inspirational week! ❤

ABOUT GRACE AND GARDENING

Added on by suana verelst.

after the heavy rains of last week, the tiny basil sprouts rear their little heads, the morning glory is itching to find something to climb on and the small tomato plants try to soak up as much sun as they can muster. could it be that i find grace in these little creatures ? something endless, silent, inspirational and powerful ? after my first failed attempt to grow a balcony vegetable garden i am trying for success this time. maybe with a mini bit more wisdom and knowledge of my previous failures. and here is a link for those who are aiming for that ultimate urban balcony agricultural experience.... wishing you an inspirational week!

[later more about this project] . enjoy the weekend and a happy, creative week everyone!

TO BEG A TALE...

"All in the golden afternoon

Full leasurely we glide:
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little hands make vain pretence
Our wanderings to guide.

Ah, cruel Three! In such an hour,
Beneath such dreamy weather,
To beg a tale, of breath to weak
To stir the tiniest feather!"

[Excerpt from Alice in Wonderland,
Lewis Carroll]

PROCRASTINATION ...

there are definitely times where i rather push [sometimes too often] an undesirable task to the back. i find nothing more draining than seeing the same u n f i n i s h e d task appear each morning, several times a day, each week ...

- u n f i n i s h e d -

sometimes it just takes a HOW to start.

i am trying this out for myself and perhaps you'll find use for it too. if you're curious, just click here
